Beyond words!

Boyd and Thomas finished LRK3DE on their dressage score of 27.9! Double clear cross country, stadium jumping, taking second place and being the highest placing Americans, they are the National Champions!

This has been such an incredible weekend.

Best Weekend All Year!

Thomas and Boyd had an amazing dressage test on Friday afternoon, securing third place with a 27.9!

We all know cross country day is the most nerve racking, exciting, heart wrenching day. The first three riders on course today, fell off! Even though we were all a little shaken by the initial chaos, Boyd and Thomas ran cross country like machines. They finished at 11:11 within the time and no faults, DOUBLE CLEAR! This put them in SECOND place on their initial dressage score! We are less than one rail away from the current and previous Kentucky champ, Oliver Townend. But, the highest scoring Americans 🙂

Sunday includes the last inspection and stadium begins at 1pm. Stadium jumping will be an edge-of-the-seat experience for sure.

Fingers crossed for a great round!

Chronicle of the Horse Cover!

It was a pleasant surprise this week to receive the Chronicle of the Horse issue with THOMAS ON THE FRONT COVER!

And he made the Wofford Top 5 Picks! What an amazing feature rolling into Kentucky this week. We are ready!

Fair Hill CCI4*-S

On Cue and Boyd took 1st in their division this weekend. It was Cue’s second 4*!

“Fourth after dressage, Christine Turner’s 12-year-old Anglo-European mare (Cabri D’Elle x On High, Primitive Rising) powered through the jumping phases with one rail down and 12.4 time penalties across country. The final result of 48.6 secured her a fourth international career win.” – Shelby Allen with Eventing Nation

Contaro took first in his Training B division!

We were lucky enough to join in on the Luke 140 Syndication with Boyd, Luke did very well in his Prelim-C Division, ending the weekend with a second place finish. Cue CIC4*S Screen Shot 2019-04-22 at 1.07.14 PM Screen Shot 2019-04-22 at 1.07.27 PM

Update!

We are one week away from the first day of dressage at Land Rover Kentucky Three Day Event!

Thomas (Tsetserleg) and Boyd were drawn 51st, which means their test will begin on Friday. You can find the draw list here. To say we are excited, is an understatement. Last year our team finished 11th and, as most of you know, this is one of the hardest events in any given year. Now that Thomas is a bit more seasoned in the 4* world, we have high hopes for a top finish. But, any finish is something to be proud of when you are asked such challenging questions.

We will be sure to keep you updated on our Facebook page or our Instagram, @IndianCreekFarmLLC.

Also, Fair Hill is this weekend. On Cue will be having a go at her second 4* and Contaro will be shown by Mike Pendleton in Training B!

Non show related news…

Most of us in the horse world have already had many of our spring foals. We are eagerly awaiting the arrival of our newest Indian Creek Farm member! This foal is out of Piper KD by our Trakehner stallion Halimey Go. We have always had stunning foals out of Piper and by Halimey, but have never combined the two. We are thrilled to meet this new foal. We will be sure to update you as the story develops 🙂

Again, thank you to all of our friends and family that continue to support us, and our horses as we tackle the world of 3 day eventing.

The Fork Horse Trials 2019

Wow, what a weekend. Boyd and Thomas took 1st in the CCI4*-S! They rocked it. We couldn’t be happier.

On Cue was entered into her first 4* ever! Boyd went in wanting to give Cue a safe run, and that’s what they did! Boyd asked, Cue answered. Finished 15th! Love that mare!
