Fair Hill CCI4*-S

On Cue and Boyd took 1st in their division this weekend. It was Cue’s second 4*!

“Fourth after dressage, Christine Turner’s 12-year-old Anglo-European mare (Cabri D’Elle x On High, Primitive Rising) powered through the jumping phases with one rail down and 12.4 time penalties across country. The final result of 48.6 secured her a fourth international career win.” – Shelby Allen with Eventing Nation

Contaro took first in his Training B division!

We were lucky enough to join in on the Luke 140 Syndication with Boyd, Luke did very well in his Prelim-C Division, ending the weekend with a second place finish. Cue CIC4*S Screen Shot 2019-04-22 at 1.07.14 PM Screen Shot 2019-04-22 at 1.07.27 PM

Update!

We are one week away from the first day of dressage at Land Rover Kentucky Three Day Event!

Thomas (Tsetserleg) and Boyd were drawn 51st, which means their test will begin on Friday. You can find the draw list here. To say we are excited, is an understatement. Last year our team finished 11th and, as most of you know, this is one of the hardest events in any given year. Now that Thomas is a bit more seasoned in the 4* world, we have high hopes for a top finish. But, any finish is something to be proud of when you are asked such challenging questions.

We will be sure to keep you updated on our Facebook page or our Instagram, @IndianCreekFarmLLC.

Also, Fair Hill is this weekend. On Cue will be having a go at her second 4* and Contaro will be shown by Mike Pendleton in Training B!

Non show related news…

Most of us in the horse world have already had many of our spring foals. We are eagerly awaiting the arrival of our newest Indian Creek Farm member! This foal is out of Piper KD by our Trakehner stallion Halimey Go. We have always had stunning foals out of Piper and by Halimey, but have never combined the two. We are thrilled to meet this new foal. We will be sure to update you as the story develops 🙂

Again, thank you to all of our friends and family that continue to support us, and our horses as we tackle the world of 3 day eventing.

Red Hills Horse Trials 2019

Both KYRA and On Cue were entered into the Advanced division this weekend at Red Hills. Our girls ROCKED IT. KYRA took 1st! On Cue took 4th! These mares are out of this world with Boyd in the irons.

Update

Man! It has been a minute. South Texas is slowly but surely drowning under all of this seemingly never ending rain. Things at home base are on the slower side as far as training since the entire place is under water, hacks and trail rides are all we have for now, sunny days are on the horizon…hopefully.

We haven’t updated since the announcement of the WEG nomination. Thomas and Boyd finished! They had their personal best dressage test, including the nicest flying changes we have seen thus far ;). Cross Country was very tough, Thomas had a little slip up but the pair finished slightly over time. Three rails down in stadium jumping, but we went to WEG knowing that this was Thomas’ second 4*, and if he completed the course, we were happy. Of course you always want to win in this sport, but seeing the heart in this horse every time he is asked a tough question, is truly astounding. I’m sure we can speak for Boyd, and our horse, that being asked to represent the USA, is something we will never take for granted.

WEG!

It was announced that Boyd and Thomas will be headed to the World Equestrian Games to represent the USA come September.

In the seemingly short amount of time these two have been a team, we could not have imagined that they would place 11th at Land Rover Kentucky Three Day Event, let alone be chosen to go to WEG. What an amazing time for Boyd, Thomas and all of us here at Indian Creek.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support us! We could not be more thrilled!
